These California Poppies were found here in Denver at our wonderful Botanic Gardens. They do a marvelous job for us artists passionate about flowers and finding incredible subjects to photograph and paint. I loved the surrounding purple flowers complimenting the brilliant yellows.

This is very nice, Kit. I really enjoy your floral close-ups. They straddle the line between realism and abstraction to make an eye-catching and compelling image. The look of the paint is as important as the subject, and for me that's an ideal balancing act. I'm a fan!
