As my life here has been busy I find that I am drawn to the quieter and peaceful scenes of the countryside. There is nothing like the nostalgia of a red barn symbolizing a way of life that we city folk romanticize. Just the setting, however lets us stay in our imaginations and in place that feels good.

Once again, going through my photo reference I came across this romantic scene while driving around the Oregon countryside. I was drawn to the contrasting and complimentary green and red grasses surrounding the barn. The northwest has such deep saturated colors under the usual cloudy skies.
