I painted this sweet face from reference taken last February in Hawaii while on Kualoa Ranch, which has been considered from ancient times to be one of the most sacred places on Oahu. It was a privilege to visit and have the time to tour and then stop and do some plein air painting there!

KMD2416 This Little Piggy (original animal oil painting)

We found this cute little piglet with his siblings while venturing around the outlying villages of LiJiang on my China tour. All the other piglets were shy and ran out of sight while I photographed this fellow. It was amazing morning light that lit up his pink ears!
