KM3008 Countryside Morning by Colorado artist Kit Hevron Mahoney (11x14 oil landscape, Italy, countryside)
I had such a fun time painting this scene from the Italian countryside. I have had such good fortune to have travelled in Italy. It is one of my favorite European destinations as it is filled with amazing people, food, history and scenery.

KM2775 Afternoon Shadows by Colorado Artist Kit Hevron Mahoney (10"x8" orignial oil)
SOLD
I painted this scene for the 21st Annual Colorado Governor's Invitational Art Show and Sale which opens on Saturday, April 28 at the Loveland Museum. It is an honor to have been in this show for 11 years. I chose this scene because I loved the late day light and long shadows and the romance of Italy where I shot the photo reference.

KMD2487 Asciano (Italy, urbanscape, city, village, Europe)
SOLD
I had to do this scene from the large one I posted earlier. Normally, the daily (ok, weekly) paintings usually inspire a larger painting, but since I did this one large first I found that it spoke to me to go small. This is a wonderful little village on the outskirts of Siena, Italy that we found as the day was ending.7"x5" unframed original oil on gessoed board

KM2484 Asciano (Italy, street scene, city scene, urban)
Back to Italy for a change of pace. I needed some new work for Brushstrokes so I decided to revisit one of my favorite places in Tuscany, the little village of Asciano.
I have painted many scenes from this quiet, unassuming village and would go back to visit it in a New York minute!
24"x18" unframed original oil on linen canvas
$2200.00 + $35.00 shipping and handling
