ONLINE ART MARKET OPEN

I am excited to announce that I have added a special new category to my online art sales:
BIN ART $200 and less.

This bin of unframed studies/paintings for $200 and less is offered as a celebration of my 30-plus years as an artist/painter.
My studio is now overrun with an accumulation of these smaller original gems that deserve to be enjoyed and grace your walls.
Each is an expression of my energy and passion throughout my painting journey.
This comes just in time for the holidays and will be ongoing until I have made room for some very exciting new art explorations and experiments.
It is my hope that you will continue to follow me on my art journey and enjoy all the new ideas currently floating around my head that I am so excited to put on canvas.
Click here to go directly to BIN ART and see what is in the bin this month.

Feel free to pass on this news to your friends and stay tuned for news as I amp up my digital presence in the new year!

KMD2991 Iris by Denver, Colorado artist Kit Hevron Mahoney (7x5" original oil floral Iris flower)

KMD2991
Iris

This is a painting done as a gift for someone who loves Iris. They are a beautiful
flower that I have not painted much in the past. I love how delicate
they are yet they are such showy flowers; growing with so many different color varieties.
I am inspired to paint more of these beautiful marvels of nature to show in my studio here at
Brushstrokes Fine Art Gallery in Denver.

KMA2720 The End of Silence (8x10 oil abstract red flowers)

I created this colorful piece with pure imagination and was thrilled with the way it came out. It is such a wonderful time when I tap into the inner self and the painting just flows out, seemingly without effort. Lacking words to describe what I am attempting I will use the words I found in trying to describe abstracted art: Abstraction generally involves implication, suggestion and mystery rather that obvious description. Like a good poem, a good abstraction attacks your feelings before your understanding.

KMD2513 Greek Poppies (poppies, red, floral, original fine art)

SOLD

I wanted to challenge myself with this painting because of the warm reddish wall behind the bright red poppies. Making the poppies stand out against a similar color wall was fun to play all the different temperatures found in red! I was pleased with my result. The poppies, by the way, were found on a ruin in Greece.

KMD2450 Red Hot Hibiscus by Kit Hevron Mahoney (floral, Hibiscus, flower)

It's hard to resist the brilliant red Hibiscus flower to photograph and paint. I treasure this flower that grows so abundantly in the tropics as it colors the world for only a day before passing the torch to the next bud.

This little painting is one of my favorite subjects: flowers and especially poppies. I have never met a flower I didn't like! Poppies are so cheerful, bright and rich, just a feel good flower.
