Where does the time go? I haven't posted for several weeks and don't know how I let so much time slip away. With fall in the air now I am feeling more energized and ready to start a new painting season. This is a scene from the Hill Country in Texas where I went several years ago in search of the illustrious Bluebonnets. It wasn't a banner year but we still found great scenes like this one. I love the nostalgia of the railroad tracks reminding us of days gone by while the flowers continue to bloom year after year.

KMD2823 Glorious Flatirons 5x7 landscape by Colorado artist Kit Hevron Mahoney
The Flatirons in Boulder, Colorado have always been a favorite of mine. I went to school at the University of Colorado many years ago and never missed a day of looking at the view of the amazing rock formations in my then backyard. This beautiful view is from Chautauqua Park, another great destination in Boulder.
