KM2032Along the Path
SOLD
This landscape painting was created from a photograph I shot while visiting Greece with my husband Jim. We visited last May when all the flowers were starting to bloom, both in the luscious potted flowers along the cobblestone streets and in the fields out in the countryside.

KM2003 Siesta Time
While on the island of Hydra in Greece and lost in the maze of winding paths I saw this burro leaning into the wall of a shady spot oblivious to our plight. He took my mind off of being lost and late for our boat's departure while I stood and photographed the sleepy guy. We did make it to the boat on time!

KM1089 Greek Poppies
These red poppies were found in Greece on the Peloponnese where we visited last May.
European poppies are such a vibrant red, unlike any I find here in the states. They seem to grow anywhere from fields to cracks in the stone steps.
This painting is a study for a larger version that I plan to do and is posted on my website:.

KM2012 Grazing Time
SOLD
I painted this little guy from a photograph that I took in New Zealand while traveling with my husband a few years ago. I have so many photos from my many ventures abroad that I am planning a series of small paintings that are from all my favorites. It will be a challenge just to sort through my vast collection of photos, but stay tuned!

This painting is my donation for the 2nd Annual Art & Artifacts Benefit for Project Education Sudan: http://www.projecteducationsudan.org/
Every brushstroke used is with hope that through my painting I can make a difference for this incredibly worthy cause.
I chose to paint this child, for he seems an inspiration to me carrying a load I never knew as a child.
