This painting was done "plein air" at Washington Park here in Denver, Colorado. The boathouse in this painting is an historic landmark that was built in 1913. In winter, it served as a warming house for ice skaters. It is located on Smith Lake and has a two-story lakefront façade and an open pavilion over enclosed boat storage. Currently, in the summer, boats are rented out from the boathouse to paddle around and enjoy beautiful views around the lake.

Reading these kind of posts reminds me of just how technology truly is omnipresent in this day and age, and I am 99% certain that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.
I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as memory becomes less expensive, the possibility of uploading our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could experience in my lifetime.
