Summer coming to an end always leaves me with some melancholy; I look forward to the perfect Colorado days ahead but dread the shorter days. There must be some childhood memory of the great days of summer ending and school days ahead. This scene was done at Upper Bear Creek last week for the Windows to the Divine paint out hosted by Evergreen Fine Art Gallery. It was one of those perfect Colorado days and a gift to be painting on location.
