This is another painting created for the Courtyard Gallery in New Buffalo, MI.
It is a scene from near the Willow Creek Loop in the Hill Country of Texas during the Blue Bonnet season.
There is a lifetime of paintings to be created when it is a good blooming year.
But of course, I was drawn to the wonderful reflections in this creek surrounded by red cliffs and the purple Blue Bonnets off in the distance.

Nothing like your car being unwilling to start when you are on your way to the mechanic! As I wait for AAA I decided it would be an good time to post another image. I painted this scene from a photo I took along the Columbia River in Oregon on my way to the coast. The Northwest is such a visual treat to a native Coloradoan as myself with all the water and atmospheric scenes.
