This is a painting I have finished to put in the 19th Annual 2010 Governor's Invitational Art Show & Sale at the Loveland Museum in Loveland, Colorado. The show opening reception is April 24. It is always an honor to be invited to this prestigious show.

Oh, that is gorgeous! All the colors! Yet zoomed in, it's very chunky. I can tell you're a very experienced painter, because you achieved such a wonderful water effect without too much blending. I always overblend.

Is there some impasto going on with the painting? The photo doesn't convey how much of the paint sticks up.
