This is a painting done as a gift for someone who loves Iris. They are a beautiful 

flower that I have not painted much in the past. I love how delicate 

they are yet they are such showy flowers; growing with so many different color varieties. 

I am inspired to paint more of these beautiful marvels of nature to show in my studio here at 

Brushstrokes Fine Art Gallery in Denver.

This is a scene I painted recently from a picture I took while visiting the Japanese Garden in Portland, Oregon. It was one amazing spring in the lush Northwest environment filled with so many varieties of flora and such a variety of fresh new spring colors.

KMD2626 Springtime Wonders ( poppy, floral, garden, flower)

I am getting drawn back to the poppies as they are soon to bloom. The crabapples are fading along with the colorful tulips, lilacs are next and overlapping them are the poppies and iris. I had to jump start from a photo from our Botanic Gardens taken a few springtimes back.
