KMD2735 Perception in Red (6x8, floral)

SOLD
With winter still coming on strong here in Denver (once again it is snowing as remnants of the last snow had almost melted off) I look into images that will bring spring closer. So, of course I reach for my familiar and favorite; poppies. This piece was inspired from a picture taken in Estes Park, Colorado where there was a full garden of these delightful red gems.

KMA2720 The End of Silence (8x10 oil abstract red flowers)

I created this colorful piece with pure imagination and was thrilled with the way it came out. It is such a wonderful time when I tap into the inner self and the painting just flows out, seemingly without effort. Lacking words to describe what I am attempting I will use the words I found in trying to describe abstracted art: Abstraction generally involves implication, suggestion and mystery rather that obvious description. Like a good poem, a good abstraction attacks your feelings before your understanding.

KM2623 Spring's Renewal (poppies, landscape, floral landscape)

SOLD
As I look around my gallery I see that most of my florals are gone and I need to replace my many fall paintings with the excitement of spring. This is one I have created inspired from my spring journey to the Texas Hill Country. Although I went in search of the bluebonnets, which were rare this year, there was still plenty of beauty to be found.
